The Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp takes Smith & Wesson's slim .380 ACP micro pistol and adds the PowerPort system, a ported barrel and matching slide cut that vent gas upward to tame muzzle flip. You get a 10+1 capacity in a frame under an inch wide, a flat-face trigger, and a Gray Armornite stainless slide over a black polymer frame for a two-tone look that resists wear from daily carry.
This California version is built with a manual thumb safety, a tactile loaded chamber indicator, and the other features required for the CA handgun roster. An AmeriGlo Protector LumiGreen night sight up front pairs with a blacked-out square-notch rear for a fast, clean sight picture in any light. It ships with two 10-round magazines, making it a strong pocket or IWB option for shooters who want more control from a .380. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: Smith & Wesson PC Bodyguard 2.0 CC TS CA - 14419 (.380 Auto, 2.875" barrel, expires 01/01/2027)).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
Safe storage: Firearms must be stored securely and kept out of the reach of children and prohibited persons. Under California law, you may be guilty of a crime if a child or prohibited person gains access to a firearm that was not stored safely.
