Description
The Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 brings the classic pocket .380 into a modern striker-fired platform with real capacity. It holds 10+1 rounds of .380 ACP in a frame roughly 0.88" wide and 4" tall, and weighs under 10 ounces, so it disappears in a pocket or appendix holster. The stainless steel slide and 2.75" barrel wear S&W's Black Armornite finish for durability, and the slide is serrated front and rear for easy manipulation.
This California model adds a manual thumb safety and loaded chamber indicator and is listed on the CA DOJ handgun roster. A bright tritium dot front sight over a blacked-out U-notch rear keeps your focus on the front post, and a flat-face trigger gives a consistent press. Two 10-round magazines are included. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 TS CA - 14420 (.380 Auto, 2.75" barrel, expires 01/01/2027)).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
