Description
The Smith & Wesson Performance Center M&P9 Shield X Carry Comp takes the slim Shield X and tunes it for flatter shooting. A fluted, ported 3.6" barrel works with matching slide ports to tame muzzle rise, so this subcompact 9mm tracks and returns to target faster than a standard carry gun. The stainless slide is optics ready for Holosun K and RMSc-footprint red dots and has aggressive serrations front and rear.
A manual thumb safety, a front accessory rail, a reversible magazine catch and an Ameriglo LumiGreen front night sight make it a well-equipped everyday carry pistol. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: PC Shield X CC TLC1 TS 10RD - 14775).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
