The Heckler & Koch VP9A1 F is the updated full-size version of HK's acclaimed VP9, refined with an improved trigger, reworked grip frame and upgraded controls. This California-compliant 9mm runs a 4.53" cold hammer-forged polygonal barrel and an optics-ready serrated steel slide that accepts compatible mounting plates or a direct-mount Holosun SCS for VP9-series pistols.
Interchangeable backstraps and side panels let shooters customize grip size, and ambidextrous controls make it equally friendly to left- and right-handed users. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: California-compliant configuration (roster entry: VP9F). We confirm the current roster listing before every sale.
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
Safe storage: Firearms must be stored securely and kept out of the reach of children and prohibited persons. Under California law, you may be guilty of a crime if a child or prohibited person gains access to a firearm that was not stored safely.
