Description
The Walther PDP Compact 4" is a California compliant version of Walther's Performance Duty Pistol, built around one of the best factory striker triggers available. The Performance Duty Trigger has a short, crisp break and quick reset that helps shooters of every level shoot tighter groups faster. A 4" polygonal-rifled barrel in a compact frame makes it a practical size for duty, home defense or carry.
The slide is optic-cut for plate-mounted red dots, and deep SuperTerrain serrations make manipulation easy even with an optic installed. Ergonomics follow Walther's well-known grip design with aggressive texture. The CA model includes a loaded chamber indicator and magazine safety. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: PDP 4.0" Compact).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
