Description
The Springfield Armory Echelon 4.0C Comp brings a built-in compensator to Springfield's modular compact 9mm, and this version is California compliant with a loaded chamber indicator. A single port machined through the 4" hammer-forged, Melonite-finished barrel and slide vents gas upward to tame muzzle rise, so the dot or front sight returns to target faster.
The Echelon's Variable Interface System uses movable pins to direct-mount a wide range of red dots low on the slide, with no plates required for most optics. Tritium U-Dot sights, fully ambidextrous controls, interchangeable backstraps and a serialized Central Operating Group make it a capable carry or duty pistol. Two 10-round magazines are included. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: Echelon 4.0C U-Notch Blk Comp CA).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
