Description
The SIG SAUER P322 is a full-featured .22 LR pistol built to feel and run like a centerfire carry gun, which makes it a great trainer, plinker and first handgun. This California version uses a 4" carbon steel barrel under a black hard coat anodized alloy slide that comes optics ready with SIG's removable plate for RMSc-footprint red dots. A fiber optic front and adjustable rear sight are included, and the polymer frame has an M1913 rail for a light or laser.
The single-action trigger ships with both flat and curved shoes, and controls are ambidextrous. CA-required features include a non-threaded barrel and a magazine disconnect. Two 10-round magazines and a magazine loader come in the box, and this 322C-BAS-CA model is on the California DOJ handgun roster. California Purchase Information
- CA Handgun Roster: Listed on the California DOJ Roster of Certified Handguns (roster entry: Sig Sauer 322C-BAS-CA (.22 LR, 4" barrel, steel/polymer, expires 01/01/2027)).
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
Safe storage: Firearms must be stored securely and kept out of the reach of children and prohibited persons. Under California law, you may be guilty of a crime if a child or prohibited person gains access to a firearm that was not stored safely.
