Description
Q's Honey Badger is one of the most talked-about rifles of the last decade, and this 16" 5.56 NATO rifle version brings it to California buyers without an SBR stamp. The upper and lower receivers are machined from aluminum and finished in Q's signature clear anodized look, with a continuous Picatinny top rail for optics and an M-LOK handguard up front. An adjustable gas block lets you tune the system for suppressed or unsuppressed shooting, and a two-stage trigger delivers a clean, predictable break.
This California configuration pairs a fixed stock with a 10-round fixed magazine, which stays in place until you open the action to reload. The 16" barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for future muzzle device options allowed under CA law. One 10-round fixed magazine and an owner's manual are included. Pick it up at Brute Dynamics in Thousand Oaks, CA after your DROS is complete.

California Purchase Information
- California compliance: This factory California model (the FS-FM-10 suffix stands for fixed stock, fixed magazine, 10 rounds) uses a 10-round magazine that is fixed to the rifle and can only be released by opening the action, along with a non-adjustable stock. Altering the configuration (for example, removing the fixed-magazine device or adding restricted features) may create an illegal assault weapon under California law.
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old (required for semi-automatic centerfire rifles in California), hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) and provide proof of California residency.
- Background check & waiting period: All sales are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Magazines: Ships with California-legal magazines limited to 10 rounds. Large-capacity magazines (over 10 rounds) cannot be sold or delivered in California.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
Safe storage: Firearms must be stored securely and kept out of the reach of children and prohibited persons. Under California law, you may be guilty of a crime if a child or prohibited person gains access to a firearm that was not stored safely.
