Description
This Daniel Defense DDM4 300S is a MK18-style .300 Blackout AR pistol built by Brute Dynamics on a BCM (Bravo Company) lower receiver and set up for California under the Single Shot Exemption (SSE). The Daniel Defense upper pairs a cold hammer-forged 10.3" barrel with Daniel Defense’s 9" DDM4 quad rail and rail panels for the classic MK18 look, chambered in .300 Blackout for strong performance from a short barrel.
An SB Tactical pistol brace finishes the build. It is fitted with the Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter fixed-magazine kit and transfers as a single-shot pistol under California’s Single Shot Exemption, so it does not need to be on the California handgun roster.

California Purchase Information
- Single Shot Exemption (SSE): This pistol is built on a lower receiver that Brute Dynamics entered into commerce in California as a single-shot firearm. Single-shot pistols are exempt from the California Roster of Certified Handguns, which is how off-roster AR pistols like this one can be legally sold in California.
- California configuration: It transfers to you as a single-shot pistol with a fixed magazine (Juggernaut Tactical Hellfighter kit). Any changes you make after transfer must comply with California law, including the assault weapon laws.
- Who can buy: Purchasers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid California Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC), provide proof of California residency and complete a safe-handling demonstration at pickup.
- Background check & waiting period: All transfers are processed through DROS (Dealer Record of Sale) with a California DOJ background check and a mandatory 10-day waiting period. Pickup must be completed within 30 days of the DROS.
- Pickup / transfer only: Firearms are delivered in person at our Thousand Oaks store, or transferred through a licensed California firearms dealer. We do not ship firearms directly to individuals.
- Taxes & fees: California’s 11% firearm and ammunition excise tax, sales tax and state DROS fees apply and are collected at the time of transfer.
- Safety device: A California DOJ-approved firearm safety device (lock) or proof of an approved gun safe is required with every firearm purchase.
